Re: Let your hair down
any sport where you can hit something with all your might helps let off steam... I prefer squash, it is SO satisfying to beat the living daylights out of that ball. Also, like Maddy said, games, I prefer Counterstrike and my wife is usually puzzled by yells of "DIE B1TCH DIE!" or "PWNED!!" from the other room.
Re: Let your hair down
sheesha virgins
you guys would probably do it in the confines of your own home if you could! but in all honesty, sheesha is fun once every 6 months, otherwise it becomes boring, and its only nice when doing it with others.
What else do I do to release stress - run, run and run. Pilates, step - any physical activity. Talking to a friend helps a lot - free therapy.
the other day, a friend of my cousins wanted to try it, so we took her … I think it was too strong, poor girl threw up when she got home - her parents were giving us very strange looks.
i felt a bit queasy myself after that.
Re: Let your hair down
not true.
we have it at home and I haven’t once tried it.
never even curious.
Re: Let your hair down
i used to love sheesha smoke…now i hate it
thanks to the women i work with… its funny how arabs dont look down on women who smoke.. its just considered so ordinary…
i play with my kittens… its just hours of fun.. i cant believe it but yesetrday i actually gave up an episode of monk to play ball with my wolfie!! so very hi gay ![]()
Re: Let your hair down
Curl up in bed (with hubby if possible) and watch old sitcoms that don't require too much attention.
i've also taken to going for walks on nice days.
Re: Let your hair down
unladylike only? excuse me where have you all been, dont you all know smoking is dangerous to one health...its not only unladylike but ungentlemanlike and unchildrenlike period.
Re: Let your hair down
I have my wife gotten hooked up on video games as well and I can proudly say that she can beat me hands down on some. It really cheers her up when she does that. So try it ladies. Nothing like beating your own husband at his own game.
Hint: Women prefer arcade games.
Re: Let your hair down
music works for me :)

Chano, i am speechless.
Re: Let your hair down
so this UNLADYLIKE behavious is being dictated by whom? Society? Men? Other women? Certainly not by equal rights and logic.
If you don't want to do it / don't like it - then don't!
Don't give it up or don't try it because its expected of you NOT to try it.
Cigrettes, marijuana is different thing. Sheesha is non-addictive, and not harmful (mainly). the smoke also doesn't stick on you - it actually remove other smells out of clothes (kinda like feebreze).
Its mainly tool when socializing. Very few ppl do it alone, i don't think I have ever done it alone.
Any1 wanna cook beryani for me - to release their stress out? :LB:

Re: Let your hair down
Being dictated by “propriety”, “ettiquette”, “manners”. Old school, but those were the times when tameez differentiated between the elite and the un-educated masses. I still subscribe to some of those old world “unwritten rules”. (e.g. gentlemen opening doors for ladies, walking on the outside of the sidewalk so that ladies don’t get garbage dumped on them, and other chivalrous acts.)
I’m not avoiding it cuz it’s expected of me to not try it. I won’t touch it because the sight of a woman with smoke coming from her mouth and nostrils repulses me. It wreaks of a woman’s effort to be more like a man…to compete with him on every level. But that’s just my opinion and you are welcome to disagree with it.
Plus, I’d rather smell of Dolce and Gabanna than sheesha, no matter how fruity the flavour.
Re: Let your hair down
LOL i wanna see some proof to this. The smoke goes through water. Water should take away some toxics. Also, the tobaco is diluted (not so strong).
AND the way I make sheesha - there is aluminum foil on top and bottom of tobacco (with some tiny lil holes).....
I have heared this before - but it doesn't make sense that it will be strong. I usually cough at first puff of cigerette - but sheesha is ok :)
