Allah (swt) blessed us with infinite blessings in life (which thausands of people wish for) and rarely do we give ourselves a chance to mention them, reflect upon them and be thankful for them. Mostly we take them for granted till they are taken away from us. So, why let any blessing slip from us only because of our taking it for granted, as

I would start with:
I am really thankful to Allah (swt) for blessing me with such wonderful parents who guided me through most of the difficulties in life (Masha’Allah)
Re: Let us mention how we are blessed, and thank for it
I am really thankful to Allah (swt) that Allah (swt) has blessed me with options of whatever I want to eat and drink in daily life. There are so many elders around me whom doctors have strictly disallowed anything “sweet” or “spicy”.
I am thankful to Allah (swt) that I am not in the following condition, as such situation can come to anyone in life.
Re: Let us mention how we are blessed, and thank for it
Alhamdulillah, Allah (swt) has blessed me with a kind, loving, caring, understanding and helpful wife (Masha'Allah). There are a lot of couples who aren't able to develp understanding and their marriage ends in a disaster. (May Allah bless them with strength in continuing their life without getting effected by the harsh experiences of the past)
Re: Let us mention how we are blessed, and thank for it
im thankful for everything every tiny thing that god has given me alhamdullillh
and how many of the blessings of ur god will u deny: surrah rehman
True. Parents and people we love are a HUGE blessing and of course we are all thankful for them. If we start realizing things that seem so petty that we ignore them, only until they are gone. For example, I was thinking few days ago how I've never been thankful for the perfect nails that I have, what if I lost even one of them accidentally!?
Of course HIS blessings are countless and enormous and bannda bashar is the most nashukra. Just imagine if we hugely favor someone and that person is thankless, will we be nice to him ever again?
Without any doubt it is only the zarf of Allah s.w.t that HE keeps blessing us despite our lack of gratitude.
Re: Let us mention how we are blessed, and thank for it
I am thankful to Allah for a loving and caring husband, wonderful daughters and a great family, for the incredible barakah in rizq and for the home we have, the warm bed, the food, the clothes and our health. Alhamdullilah.
Re: Let us mention how we are blessed, and thank for it
it shud b like that all the time every day, humans are ver unthankful, including myself, ive focused on the negative so much that i have forgotten that Allah that has given me so much more.
I thank ALLAh for everything and hope he forgives my sins Inshallah !!
Re: Let us mention how we are blessed, and thank for it
Masha'Allah! JazakAllah khair everyone for the kind sharing. May Allah (swt) increase all your blessings.
I think we should visit hospitals from time to time to realize how much blessed we are.
I saw a man who was brought to the hospital and his leg was totally broken in an accident. I recalled when one patient told me that after such accidents the most embarrassing thing is not being able to visit the wash room by oneself and you are helped in doing something which is totally private.
One of my friends has a disabled leg. Each and every step gives him pain. Whenever we mention to him when we go to canteen or anywhere, he says it is too far. He watches us but can not join us when we play any sports.
I am really thankful to Allah (swt) for blessing me eyes, ears, legs and everything which makes my life easier. O' Allah! forgive me when I whine about small problems in life.
Re: Let us mention how we are blessed, and thank for it
I used to work in a hospital for many years, and during that time learned to appreciate the blessings of Allah in our lives. There was once this old man who was suffering from a degenerative disease in the brain. Trying to find his way to the clinic area from the elevator, he wandered into my office and started crying because he couldn't find his way. Finally, I took him to the clinic and helped him to complete his paperwork. He said he had 3 children but they were all too busy to help him and that his grandkids were in school.
There are so many stories like that. Situations beyond our control. We pray to Allah to keep us in our protection and to put us in situations where we may be helpful to others.
Re: Let us mention how we are blessed, and thank for it
JazakAllah khair for sharing. Very touching to heart.
I feel that thankfulness in "words" becomes more effective when they are accompanied by "actions"
If I want to thank Allah for blessing me with ears (while there are many people who can't listen), then there is no use of my thanking by words, if I use my ears to listen to forbidden things. Same goes for eyes, tongue, hands,.....etc.
If I want to thank Allah for not making me an orphan at young age, than the best way of thanking is to help orphans to our level best.
If a person wants to thank Allah for blessing him with wisdom and Imaan, then he should try his best to convey the words of Allah (swt) to all the people around him, through his actions and words.
Re: Let us mention how we are blessed, and thank for it
If Allah is so kind to even those who don't thank him, imagine how much Allah loves and showers His blessings upon those who talk about Allah and His attributes as a thankfulness gesture towards Allah (swt).
There lived an idolator in the past who made an idol out of stone and would worship it everyday. He would call it upon it by saying "Ya Sanam." For seventy years, he worshipped this idol. One day by mistake he uttered "Ya Samad" instead of Ya Sanam. Samad is a name of Allah which means The Self Sufficient Master. Allah Ta'ala immediately replied back to this idolator by saying "I am present oh My slave." The angels asked Allah why He replied to him since he didn't even call upon Him intentionally. Allah told the angels that for seventy years I have been waiting for this servant of mine to turn towards Me!
If a mother has only one child then how much would she love him? He would be the coolness of her eyes and the comfort of her heart. But if this son calls her saying "Mommy" more than four or five times, she would get irritated eventhough she loves him more than her ownself. On the other hand, when we call Allah once, He replies back to us 70 times by saying "Labbaik Ya Abdi (I am here oh My slave)." How unfortunate we are that we have not recognized our Allah who is so Kind, Merciful and Forgiving.

Re: Let us mention how we are blessed, and thank for it
u can imagine mercy of god by this that he gives to ppl who dont even call him
he listens to everybody he gives even to mushriks
only for a tear he can forgive all of the sins u have commited
only for a thank he can forgive all the sins of ur life
i think it a hadeeth that if sum1 says alhamdullilah with all of his heart after a meal god forgives all of his sins
if its not correct pls correct it!
hes so merciful that if u take a step towards him he takes 4 towards u
