An interesting article has been published in the Pakistani media which poses the question, “is anti-American sentiment on a decline” in Pakistan? It goes on to provide varying reasons behind why that would be the case, and also refers to a statistical survey by Pew Research Poll to show the declining trend.

Do you believe this to be true? Do you believe what the poll results reveal could also be due to the mutual understanding by the leadership of both our nations, in realizing the our mutual interests are better safeguarded when we work through our differences and build better relations?
Does our improving relationship, in the military and civilian sector, pose a threat to those militants in the region who do not want better US-PAK relations? Would they act in order to halt or reverse this trend?
Would like to read everyone’s perspective!

Maybe most have become indifferent to the Americans..don’t care attitude which applies to Indians as well. Most Pakistanis wanted the Americans to tone down their drones and let them live their lives. The drone strikes have gone down and so have the attitudes changed.

Yes People are not much unhappy with US now , Now they understand that US take care of their interests and it is their right , Now they are angry only with their own who are slaves of others

@CENTCOM Majority of Pakistani are not against American people even if Pakistani showing hate against America he will be first if get US visa and leave country.
People to people ties as one commentator wrote in the article is much needed at this time. I believe US involved in many different sector of Pakistan (Education aid, agriculture aid).
Agree.

The US would win more hearts if they ensure that the aid/money/funds trickle down to the common man of Pakistan. If they can achieve this, they will have won millions of hearts instantly.
Unfortunately all the funding ends up in the military/political “leadership” while the common man gets nothing.
Perhaps distribute food directly to the poor by US agencies ?
