what i find interesting is that most of the studies conducted on media bais are by academic resources such as universities or human right comission of the countries whose media is under scrutiny involved . popular media is incredibly baised and the effects are trumendous most muslims buy into it themselves which is rather paradoxical.

Its not a news that news media is biased against muslims. Actually the bias does exist in many other fields if one looks carefully. Very few know that Kamal Mobinuddin ( A Pakistani 1930-1999) made the first filter to stop clot from legs going to the lungs in 1970-71 but most of media/people portray Greenfield filter to be the first in 1973.
