SuperO this isnn't the topic to discuss religeon but I am going to give one shot and thats it. Perhaps I should have posted my entire email. That would have given a clearer picture of what I was trying to say.
I believe in the fact that Islam is a religeon of peace and harmony and does not justify the fact of what has been happening in the world lately. The true fact is that horrible things did happen on September 11th and that people who did it justify it as giving it a cover as Jihad. Where in Islam does the spirit of Jihad justify killing innocent people?
Yes I do watch CNN but I also have my other sources as that would be ignorant getting your news from one single news network I look at a story from different angles and the truth is that what happened to the US is very sad. And if they are willing to seek revenge, they can and they should.
People in America are very accepting. I shouldnt stereotype but after these horrible incidences, most Americans did not go around harrassing there fellow American Muslims. But tried to learn what is Islam about and does Islam really promote such violence! I am sorry but if the same thing happened in any Muslim country we would have been whinning about it for the next 200 years.
Nothing against Muslims, but I think its about time that we change our thinking and bring it up to date. We need to take out this radicle element present and live according to the present time. Look at Isreal, look at India. You know why the world supports them though everyone knows about there acts of aggression and violence? Because they have very strong economies and countries do not want to risk there relations with countries with such strong economies. And look and Palestinians. What are they armed with? Rocks and uneducated back grounds! I know this will cause some fires here as we people love living in the past and refuse to face the facts.
So thats the point I tried to make to Junaid (and this is only my humble opinion) that one cannot become a better Muslim not just by leaving Music.
I hope I got my point accross. I wont be posting about the religuous aspect of this thread as this isnt the appropriate forum for that!
