Why is there a limit?

what if we got a message that is triple in size than the limit, then will we have to do it in three consecutive posts:( … ???

Seriously, if a message is that long, chances are people won't read it completely anyway. Unless you are typing it yourself, you might as well, just give the web-link of the article for those who are interested.
If you are typing it yourself, then you might as well, write a Precis (summary).. Use less words to convey your message.
A fairly complete news paper story is generally less than 2,000 characters. The limit here is 10,000 characters, which should be more than enough, for most people.
