Re: Lengha shopping in London - please HELP!!!

I’ve heard from a friend of mine that cbazaar ( http://www.cbazaar.com/ ) is a good online shop. She also told me that they have a shop in London. I will ask her if she knows other good stores in Green street. Will let you know soon

Re: Lengha shopping in London - please HELP!!!

OMG there are lots of shops!!!

if you want on the budget , punjab textiles in southall .. you can haggle with them! My cousin bought her wedding lengha for £1285 ... had the kameez re-made as she did not like the original ...

It was beautiful! it had a train , and the most beautiful duppata ever! Basically they can also remake the lengha for you but it depends on timing.

I'm looking at designers in london as i have months to go yet !!

Re: Lengha shopping in London - please HELP!!!

I also forgot to add i have an excel list of shops in birmingham/ london i am going to visit! If you would like it let me know! ( or you can wait for a few weeks until i go looking around and tell you the best shops i have found!")

Thanks for the pm Sonia.... and for all the info... Greatly appreciated!!!
Is Bombay Looks in Southall too???
God, am dreading going shopping with my mum, sis-in-law and friend - they love the OTT look - whereas I prefer the simple yet elegant look... doesn't help that I hate asian clothes shopping - and they could go non stop for hours on end!!!!! :( Feeling very sorry for myself!!! :) :)
Having a few shop names is a good start!!!
.

Re: Lengha shopping in London - please HELP!!!

Guys, does anyone know of any other bridal shops????

Re: Lengha shopping in London - please HELP!!!

Hi Inaaya1, as promised I’ve asked my friend about the shops that she has visited. She was very excited for the following stores: Doli, Karishma, Zahra, Geetanjali all of these stores are situated in greenstreet. Here is a website where you can find the adress of these shops http://www.green-st.co.uk/ My friend nor I don’t live in london, but my friend shops sometimes in London. So I hope it is usefull for you and good luck for finding your perfect bridal lenghas

Could you pm me the list as well please or post it  That would be great!

Re: Lengha shopping in London - please HELP!!!

Hello!!

So i have been to Birmingham , Southall and Green st !

I thought i'd post what i think are the best shops and well priced!

Southall- Punjab Textiles

Green st - Bombay looks , Dulhan , Damini's

Birmingham - Khubsoorat by Chand!

Honestly every other shop was just rude. Plain rude , couldnt care less. These above shops do very pakistani styles , they also have manufacturers in pak :D

Re: Lengha shopping in London - please HELP!!!

Hiya, What was Khoobsurat in Birmignham like? Thanks, Styles Price range?

Re: Lengha shopping in London - please HELP!!!

It was quite good! I met chand, who was really friendly and passionate about his clothes. Styles are varied! they like every shop have everything and will make you what ever you like really!

Price wise i think he had off the shelf from £600 going upwards depending on the amount of kaam and type of kaam you need!

Re: Lengha shopping in London - please HELP!!!

Thanks hun, am also looking at Rani Eman wish she had a boutique in London ;-(

Re: Lengha shopping in London - please HELP!!!

don't be stuck on pakistani designers :| , take pictures , or design it HOW you want. I gurantee you will get the most beautiful lengha ever if you just stop thinking ... i wish i got it from a pakistani designer :( ....

truth be told, i have seen more digusting lengha's that girls have bought from pakistan to wear at their wedding. Recently at a wedding the lengha was from pak , it was jamawar lengha, with a heart motif ( or there enough one) . I mean her mum knew lahore inside out , and i dont know where they got that lengha from!! on the other hand, her walima outfit, my gosh STUNNING! and it fit perfectly , it was from london she went and chose it herself too :|

maybe take a rani eman print take it to the shops and get it made ? adjust it how you want to do it!

Re: Lengha shopping in London - please HELP!!!

Thanks hun that really helps, wish we cud stop thinking... IA itll fall into place ;-)

Re: Lengha shopping in London - please HELP!!!

I've ordered my lengha!! yaaaayyyyyyyy!!! Thanks for all your help guys...
I've ordered my lengha from Traditions, in Southall..... Basically totally designed it myself.... it's hot pink, deep purple with royal blue accents.... and VERY bling!! :) :) Inshallah it will turn out exactly how I want it....
THe shop owner was VERY helpful.... practically made him take out every bridal lengha.... he didn't complain once and nor was rude... was VERY nice... (considering i was a pretty annoying customer... haha)
Will have my lengha by mid feb.... still on a diet so he's going to get all the embroidery done now (from India) and will then take my final measurements on first week of feb and then get it stitched. Will then make any final alterations 10 days before my wedding to ensure it fits perfectly....
soooooooooo glad i finally have my outfit sorted!!!
Thanks for all your help guys!!!
