I am weighing up options for my walima i’m wearing red and gold on barat, i am struggling with walima. Please help! in my mind i have two options :
Royal blue and silver
Purple and gold ( purple and silver looks a little off key no?)
I have a wheatish complexion, dark eyes and i am slim with a height of 5’5 and long brown hair. ( No this isnt a wedding advert!) i just want you to get a better picture in your head!!
What make up would work for the above colours? i.e option 1 blue silver eyes and red lipstick or pink etc…
Please help me as i am going berserk in my head. I have refrained from using the above colours on my brothers wedding too just so i look fresh
i will say go for Purple and gold bridal lehnga (^^) it will look great, royal blue and silver aarrgg many ends with that colour hopefully.. be diffrent and take Purple and gold ;D
eye make up i think its gonna be puple, gold and silver colour, depends on how ur bridal lehnga will look...
purple and yellow are complementary colors and gold is pretty close to yellow. it will look really good however i have seen an indian friend wear purple and silver with blue accents and if you are interested I can try to find a pic and share it with you privately.
Purple and gold sounds lovely to me. Stay away from the blue, a cousin of mine wore the blue and silver a few years back, not a great colour IMO. Rather than having a fixed colour in your mind why don't you go out and keep an open mind for the lehngha, and buy what you like, I do this when buying clothes for a special close family wedding. This way you have more options and don't restrict your choices. Just my opinion.:)

i really like 5th picture, how would i make it more suitable ( i.e no tummy showing) make the kameez lambhi , also want the skirt done up more , as my bhabi had a similar skirt but for her engagement party.
i was thinking maybe long shirt embroidered with the skirt? and duppata would be purple and gold?
i love the color combination of the 5th one too, gold contrasting with the dark purple just looks beautiful but yea the short blouses are only for the models the rest of us earthlings need long lengha tops

when i looked back at her pictures the lengha's top is nice but the skirt isn't very cute but if anyone wants to see it they need to pm me bc i don't want this floating aroud gs
your going for red and gold for your barat, i think purple and gold is sort of similar? or in the same range of colours... why not go for something different?
