Re: Lengha Colors finalized phew
**Back for a limited time only! :) and I did confirm with Taufiq today...the baraat one is a knee-divider with the green color only peeking out while walking or sitting......
The Walima one will be a totally different one...one piece thingy with
embellishment to blend in the colors....
Sounds exciting!! :D
ppooooooooffffffffffff GONE!!**
Re: Lengha Colors finalized phew
i saw this knee-divider style when i was deciding on my dress, and it looks really nice.
the girl i'd seen who had it made had it in a pale pink with matte silver kaam all over it. in the split, she had really heavy concentrated silver kaam, but on the outside it was a bit more spread out, so that when she sat and walked, you'd see the super heavy kaam peeking out. it was really lush in person.
the only thing was the color was so light and then it had matte silver kaam on it, so you couldn't appreciate the beauty of the outfit in any of the pictures- because it didn't have any sparkly bits or anything along those lines either.
but i dont think you'll have that problem, choozy- your colors are so vibrant :)

oohh i just absolutely love the knee-divider idea....it gives a fresh look to the traditional lenghas...I mean it just gives a bit of modern/contemporary touch...otherwise all lenghas just look like long skirts! :D But then this is just me....
Re: Lengha Colors finalized phew

**Taufiq Hussain is a very senior Lahore-based designer! He's almost in his 50s.
He has been in the industry for almost 15 years now....He is very approachable and he does not repeat his designs...For every individual he creates something new...he is a bit pricey but then all designers are that way! You can "Google" him for further information :D

Taufiq Hussain - Pakistani Designer
Taufiq Hussain, or the “Dream Merchant” as some choose to call him, has maintained accolades of consistency during his 15-year-old career.
Taufiq Hussain's designs are sensational, each outfit as unique as the individual that it has been created for. In fact it is the fatigue of repetition that has proven inspirational to Taufiq.
Taufiq Hussain has chosen not to attach himself to any particular discipline; his work does not adhere to the rules of either minimalism or extravagance.
The world may be a stage…but you are not part of the backdrop, so don’t dress like everyone else, be a show stealer!

**Sketch & Color Swatches
The color swatches on the left (watermelon red & acid green) are for Baraat Lengha (the jamavaar fabric in the picture is exactly the one that Taufiq will use).
The color swatches on the right (aquamarine & peach pink) are the colors for Walima Dress (Taufiq wont be using this fabric in the picture, he will use jamavaar chiffon) however the colors will remain the same for walima.
**Pooof Gone!

^ love the chartreuse green, lady! that was the color of the orchids in my bouquet and our centrepieces, and my bridesmaid's saris at my wedding :) its so summery and happy-making.
you should consider a green orchid and pink rose bouquet - it would be gorgeous.
