I saw this movie the other day on video. It’s a bit over a decade old, starring Vinod Khanna, Dimple Kapadia, Naseerudin Shah, and Amjad Khan, but the storyline is so romantic!
Apparently, Dimple’s character is that of a spirit who is lost between our world and the world of the undead. Vinod Khanna is travelling the Ragesthani desert to do some historical research and starts seeing her spirit who wants to be at peace with itself after accomplishing her lifelong goal of crossing the desert to be with her elder sister without being caught by the local raja’s men.
Songs are slow and the tunes are quite melodious, kind of like Pakistani folk songs.
