Lehsan (garlic) Chutney Anyone?

Re: Lehsan (garlic) Chutney Anyone?

I can understand most of Punjabi & bits of Pushto but that's about it. Can't talk in either one of the languages though.

Its is quite interesting. You get to see two different cultures. Both languages are unique in their own way.

ji, indeed they are. same here, i can understand Punjabi and farsii but can NOT speak the languages. so, i assumed you speak english. eh?

That's a nice thing. Teach your kids the same. All the languages you know. Its kind of cool.

Re: Lehsan (garlic) Chutney Anyone?

I have another variation, which I tried at my mum's yesterday.

Mix ground chillies, and garlic with coconut milk and desicated coconut. It takes the edge off a bit.

Re: Lehsan (garlic) Chutney Anyone?

1/4 tsp chillies powder ,10 garlic cloves , 1 small tomato , 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds powder,
1/4 tsp salt, 1 tsp vinger.
Now grind it well! Yum yum chutney ready steady go! hehehe

Re: Lehsan (garlic) Chutney Anyone?

This almost sounds like the Zanzabari chutney I make. I do add couple of more ingredients in it though.

Any suggestions to pair it with Farhina?

& Thanks :)

Re: Lehsan (garlic) Chutney Anyone?

i usually make one n this is how it goes

handful of corriander leaves
8-10 green chillies
half a handful of mint
2 cloves of garlic
ek timatar
a pinch of salt
1/2 tsp of red cilli powder
n some water according to how runny u want it
put all these ingredients in a proccesor n give it a whizz till its all ground
add a lil yoghurt as per taste n theres ur chutney

its fab with roast parathay vegs anything really:)

^ Thank you again. Like Seriously :)

It sounds yummy. I think I know what I am gonna pair this with.

Re: Lehsan (garlic) Chutney Anyone?

Best lasan chutney has to include dried coconut and some crushed red chilies.

i don't think so...it may be an individual's preference but universally its cordinated with coriander leaves, chillie, olive oil stc...sorry, its just my dumb opinion lol**
