I have another variation, which I tried at my mum's yesterday.
Mix ground chillies, and garlic with coconut milk and desicated coconut. It takes the edge off a bit.

handful of corriander leaves
8-10 green chillies
half a handful of mint
2 cloves of garlic
ek timatar
a pinch of salt
1/2 tsp of red cilli powder
n some water according to how runny u want it
put all these ingredients in a proccesor n give it a whizz till its all ground
add a lil yoghurt as per taste n theres ur chutney
its fab with roast parathay vegs anything really:)
Best lasan chutney has to include dried coconut and some crushed red chilies.

i don't think so...it may be an individual's preference but universally its cordinated with coriander leaves, chillie, olive oil stc...sorry, its just my dumb opinion lol**
