to my question … i L-O-V-E the flare of this dress. Is it possible to get a lehnga made in lahore with such a flare? know any darzis or home-designers who can do this?
plus … ofcourse with such a flare, it means the overall shape of the dress would be the mermaid-style lehnga … so … is that cut still in .. or will i look like a outdated-zero-brainer???

it looks like a lace dress. should be easy for anyone to replicate. if you go to any of the designers, they can make you one from scratch, for a high cost (it wont be exactly the same, but you should be able to get a one-piece lace dress, custom made).
these days all the "designers" make western style dresses.
as for the regular darzis.... really depends on the darzi. you would really have to hunt one down in the bazaars in liberty but im sure you will find at least a few to narrow down from.

Ok, can't the dress be designed by the Western designer who designed it in the first place? You can change the colour and make the shirt heavy with a simple skirt as the flare would be compromised if it is too kaam heavy. The style should resemble a mermaid sharara as the traditional lehnga would look too poofy.
yes it is a tamara ... i have no freaking idea why they are so expensive ... it's from the pronovias collection ... i havent seen price tags along with where the dresses are put in a gallery ... i saw them elsewhere in a forum where they were being discussed.
Although one of their outlets is on my way to school ... but damn i am always late ... and if u walk into one of these places, it's not easy to get out ... whether because of yourself, or a sticky salesperson!

I saw Monique Lhuillier Wedding Dresses up for resale on Pre owned wedding dresses’ website. They are sold now but they went for huge amounts as you said. Maybe they make the lace of each dress and that raises the $$$. Look here:

well that's a tricky question. i am still torn between my decisions ... i love our traditional bridal wear, and would love to have them for both of my main days ... but for the reception here in the netherlands i was definitely thinking of a western styled gown. i want my barat jora to be ultra-traditional, so i will wear it for a while, but not too long ... they dont really offer easy mobility ...
on the other hand, thinking of the costs that shall incur ... i also had in mind to perhaps play around with the gown in a way that it passes of as a local thing combined with a dupatta and appropriate jewelry ...
and french lace, if it has to be ... i am up for purchasing it myself for whoever is to design it ... i dont know how that will work out ...
