I couldn't agree with you more! I think because leggings are skin tight (and yes; bare your arse) they should be worn under a dress/ long shirt.

^ yup that's true. i personally think there is a rite n wrong way of wearing everything so it depends on that.
I personally think it can be worn tastefuly n can luk very chic.
yea..it can look horrible especially when short stalky overweight girls r wearing them..ugh disgusting!

It is very common here. A lot of girls do that but they don't wear leggings with short shirts. It is always a formal long shirt or dress that they wear leggings with. Usually paired with gladiator sandals. Nothing wrong with it.

Doesnt look good with short tops, but with tops or tunics that covers their behind it can look good.
But with short tops it does look slutty, and i hate to see how the skin and the extra fat moves in the thights - especially when it is tight at places that you don't want to see... ehm.. :S
I find tight jeans looking better cuz it gives the right hold on the problem areas. And white tights just make ppl look more fat than they already are!

I love wearing tights with long cardi's (that cover the butt) as well as skirts and dresses.

i see girls at school wearing these tights with pattern on and the shirt is also tight and not long enough to cover the butt... it's not a nice sight!
But under long dresses and skirts is fine
