Zinedine “Zizou” Zidane
Unanimously considered the best footballer in the era between Maradona and Ronaldinho, Zizou has won every single award a footballer can dream of, both at the team and individual level. His skill, ball-control are the best ever displayed; his passing exquisite; his influence on the team as big as Maradona or Pele’s. With his retirement, the era of the classic number 10 playmaker (like Platini, Baggio, Bergkamp etc) comes to an end.
It’s a pity, that he had to end his career the way he did, but then again just winning another WC wouldn’t be as much remembered as his head butt
of the numerous videos available on youtube, this one is one the best. Do have a look. His technique and ball control are the best I’ve ever seen. Other greats have had perhaps better dribbling (like Maradona, Pele), but Zizou has far superior ball control
For me he was more worth millions than he used to earn actually. He is by far outstanding and I wouldnt compare him with any Ronaldhino, Kaka or such a likes. He is the legend :k: My most favourite player of life time.

I think he the way he ended his career was class and I doubt anyone could top that. One thing I think is really wierd is how he sometimes vomits before a plenalty or free kick...tres strange!

He is an illiteriate genius actually. He has everything planned in seconds and that made him so special. So that he kept his opponents guessing every of his moves. Thats why most of his passes were so extraordinary and of highest quality.
Especially Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen fans claimed this goal to be sheer luck, but I believe this was 70% skills, 10% luck and 20% brain juice. As It turned out to be one of the most perfect combinations.
A player liek zdiane is seen once on every generation or two or three.

I remember the free kick at 6:06, it was against england at euro 2004. It was in the dying moment; After the match James, the goalkeeper, brought as excuse that he had expected Henry to take the free kick, but when he saw it was zidane he was confused which side he would aim at, since James hadn’t seen any footage on Zidane’s freekicks before the match
