We’re going to die. Morbid? It is. But, sooner or later, we’re going to die. And, most of us are likely to pass away well before any apocalyptic activity. The world will live without us. Have you ever thought about your legacy in this world? Do you want to have a legacy, something that would remind people of you, i.e. kids, a business empire, some book you’ve written etc. etc. Do you want people to remember you? If yes, how do you want to be remembered?

reminds of this little jem...
duniya mein aye ho tou karo aisey kaam
duniya mein aye ho tou karo aisey kaam
jis gali sey guzro
awaz aye, "ABBA JAAN', "ABBA JAAN"
Re: Legacy
In the end nobody will care. Really, when you're gone you're gone. Just live a good life, help people and hope God forgives your sins.
When it's time to leave this world, I hope to lose all attachment and just go wherever I'm supposed to go.
Re: Legacy
Thats hell of a wish. I am really impressed with your philosophy. Amazingly put :k:
All of sudden I wished the same for myself.
I want to leave a legacy of fairplay and justice with everyone I interact. It seems higly unlikely as these are not the times where you can actually put your dreams into action.

I want my (future) kids and grandchildren to remember me in their prayers ![]()
I always wanted to construct a mosque within my life… lets see whether it happens or not.

Re: Legacy
I'm like the wind
free roaming
enjoying some turbulence
warming when needing
cooling when needing
turning the wheels
or breaking lives
no one is catching me
and in the end no one cares

Re: Legacy
well, life goes on. I want the people to remeber me when they see my kids and tell them that their mother (ME) did a fine job raising them. :)

Re: Legacy
Thank you very much. I've always had a fascination for this sort of thing. I'll read in detail later to figure out the best option in my case. I may well go for 'Neuro'. First of all, I need to worry about raising $ 35,000. I don't want to have any kids. So there won't be anyone to take care of my frozen body. I understand the risks. It would be amazing to wake up after a hundred years ... only to find the same misery. But we always have the option of going back to freezer.
Re: Legacy
unless u do something very memorable, your memories and all will fade over time, how many of us know what our great great great grandfather did, heck go back 3 generations and see if you know.
the best legacy to leave behind is to make a change or set things in motion that will continue to benefit people and generations long after you are gone and forgotten.
dont do it so people will remember you, do it so you know that you tried to make some change and that the effects of that will continue after you are gone.
