two stories I have heard from family…
Zia used to dress up and at night travel through the city..looking for people to help
And my nani says she had her house in Islamabad rented out. When the lease expired the guy wouldn’t leave. She was a widow. Her husband, my nana was in the air force. So she sent a letter to Zia. He sent his own personal Secretary and needless to say they vacated the house.

I’m no fan of Zia or anything else in Pakistan but I fail to understand why he gets such a bad press. Any one in the same position ( I.e Russia invading, we helping Americans) would have done the same thing!
Prime example. The present government is following the same strategy as mush.

Exactly. The political parties who always detest Zia follow the same policies. I think this is not with just Zia, even PPP continued the policies of Musharraf era. Sab maya hai
