well peeps the problem is it's never boiled plain rice.. it's always either matar chawal, biryani, or palao.. we dun like boiled rice and we don't make it so I am not very flexible with my options!

Anyway, we do cook less now.. if there is no food at home in the evening, we just go out or order a pizza!At least, we are not wasting any food! simple as that!

Mash it....make wht ever shape u want...better keep it small in size..n let it dry in the sun...then u can store it....later u can deep fry n use as snacks at asr ka chai pani :D
Its yummy specially with biryani rice n all....if plain rice u can adf some powdered spuces of ur choice before mashing...

do you have to throw away rice after 2 days? our rice stays fine in the fridge for upto a week.

You should not be eating 2 day old rice. There are some bacteria and toxins that multiply and are not removed by high temperatures. But if you insist:

You must cool the rice within 90 minutes after cooking it. Store it between 3 and 5 C. And thoroughly heat it up (to 75 C to be safe) when eating it again. Eat at your own risk!

If you freeze 2 day old rice you will be freezing all the bacteria and toxins. Either make chinese egg fry rice or throw it out for the birds. Dont give it as charity you will make people ILL.
