Who is the better fast bowler at their peak.
As we all know Shoaib’s performance for the past years has been on and off, somedays he destroys the best batting lineup of Australia and other days he gets whacked all over the ground by Tendulkar and Trescothick.
Lee on the other hand is very similiar bowler, he had a great WC, but since then he has been on the downfall, he was below his standards against Bangladesh on a very lively pitch and he didn’t do any wonders in the tour of Windies as well.
We already know who is the faster bowler, Shoaib outshines lee in that category by reasonable margin, but Lee who I think is a perfect example of fast bowler, his style and action is perfect.
Both of them are very inconsistent but very talented, both have the potential to be the best in the world.
Shoaib Akhtar

I was about to say the samething....
waissay,, I would prefer LEE,
he is nice bowler only coz he has some brain over his shoulders and the pppl who dictate/use him ( steve and Ponting) are both one of the finest Captains in the world...
it always fascinates me how so many Indians have the time and the heart to come to a Pakistani forum to showcase only their hate. I mean it's just sad.
what saying? I no hating. only one person askinged shoib or lee beter. i say lee beter. why lee beter? becase shoib talk bad before boling. you saying is good for shoib talking talking? is why all pakistan peapul also tellingt 'shoib, you go'. etc. so you not sayinged hate etc for me ok?
also I Indian. why caling icelander? is bad word? i donn know
*Before the Ashes series in late 2002, I would have said Shoaib Akhtar. But ever since that tour, Brett Lee has been magnificent (He was great during the World Cup as well), and is looking to take over the role of the top bowler of his team from McGrath (One thing which Shoaib is not looking to do, you are trying to fill the void of Wasim Akram for God's sake; be freakin' serious about what you are doing!). Both have the talent , but as far as current performance is concerned, Lee is doing way better than Shoaib so far this year. Let's see what the future holds for them. People, That Is All.*
well brother mightbe possible lee is better than shoaib but shoaib is more faster than lee ?
kia manzer hota hai jab vo 154/km ki speed sai ata hai or phir chakka
khata hai 3man ki position per wOw;)
lakin shaoib Lee acha acha hai yai pura cricket world kehta hai.;)
the thing that disapoints me is that shoib doesnt use his brain for too long ...... its so sad to waste a talent and he is an example i still hope and am hoping that he will get his brain i gear...... and i hope sami matures quickly so that we dont have to rely on shoib too much

I personally think Shoaib has the potential and the talent to be the best bowler ever but his 3rd class personality is getting in his way.

Some things never change...and his personality is one of them...
I think peaking at the right time counts for something, and even though Lee might not be doing well against Bangladesh it hardly matters does it? Fact is he bowled superbly right through the Ashes and the WC when it mattered. Shoaib blew hot and cold as usual.
Lee gave up alcohol to improve as a bowler but Shoaib lacks that sort of discipline so I admire the Aussie for his commitment far more. I like Shoaib as a bowler but for me Lee is the more consistent performer. Both are great to watch anyway.
