1-led zeppelin
2-deep purple
3-black sabbath
actually all 3 of them sucked big time
sex pistols and ramones destroyed these bighair bands in the late 70s

Dude, my post was drenched in sarcasm. Of course I know who Zeppelin is. Your comment above is quite disturbing. Black Sabbath alone has been more influential than the Sex Pistols, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple (close second) all put together. Black Sabbath single handedly pioneered the genre of heavy metal, all from that first album in 1970, and no, Hendrix, Zeppelin, or Deep Purple had nothing to do with it. It was all Black Sabbath, still is, and always will be. The proof is in the countless bands, of all genres that site Sabbath as one of their main influences.
As for your comment regarding the big hair bands of the 70’s. If it weren’t for Alice Cooper, the original Glam Rock pioneer, there wouldn’t be any sex pistols. The glitter rockers died out in the late 70’s, only to return in the early 80’s to kill punk. Ironic isn’t it.

Ahh, Dazed and Confused. Great song. Kashmir is a classic also, but I don’t understand how anyone can allow Puff Daddy to desecrate that song in the Godzilla soundtrack.

What bands do you like by the way? I never really got into the 70’s and 80’s punk scene. Although, I’m heavily into bands that were influenced by the punk scene, such as Iron Maiden, Venom, and Slayer.
