AoA ED. The topic in hand deals with our relationship with neighbours. Every individual and family has privacy and should be respected. There may be some cases when we intrude or intervene for instance house fire, smelling cooking gas leak or likelihood of some other untoward event. In the present story, a lecturer who is supposed to be an educated man murdered his ailing mother. We know that murder is considered an offense against whole society so we should intervene or not, should inform police or not, is asked in this thread. The question broadly revolves around privacy, ethical, relationship and societal concerns. Such issues have been discussed here in this section so I thought the question I asked is suited in this section so I posted it in cafe therefore it is a cafe thread.

So here authorities encourage citizens to report any suspected abuse on elders, children and spouse. I think it is a duty we owe to our society. Society is ward of all victims and their protector.
