Re: lebanese kebab

What recipe I have of Lebanese kebabs, and tried too, is somewhat different than alu stuffed something. It is something like meat: mince/whole, veggies, potatoes, peas, spaghettis, boil individually and mash/mix them together. Add salt, white pepper, black pepper, chinese salt and an egg to bind. roll in egg, then crumbs, then an egg and deep fry. They tirned out well. The recipe was Zubeda Tariq's as far as I remember.

Re: lebanese kebab

And they are shaped something like seekh kebabish.

ooh sounds nice do you have the full recipe please?

Re: lebanese kebab

Dear, this was the full recipe  Ok let me try:

1:boil mince, or you can boil meat pieces and shred.
2:boil peas, potatoes, spaghettis (or noddles, since they are easy and better to mesh)seperately. (all of these can be in equal quantity, say, half a cup each)
3:mix and mesh them together using your hands ofcourse.
4:Add salt, black, white pepper, chinese salt according to your taste.
5:add an egg and a spoonfull of cornflour for the binding.
6:Make finger shaped kebabs.
7:ROll them in bread crumbs(not those of sweet bread please)
8:Roll in beaten egg.
9. Deep fry untill it turns out to be golden.

Its best for the children since its very low in spices, you can add chopped green chillies to make it a lil more spicy. Oh yes and you can agg chopped/sliced olives and grated cheese to add further to the taste.

Re: lebanese kebab

I have been using a similiar recipe for quite some time. In addition to chinese salt i add a generous amount of zeera. And for coating, i roll them first in the dissolved corn flour n then cracker crumbs. This time i used the crumbs i made out of TUC biscuits and oh they were heavenly@

Re: lebanese kebab

:drools:

I made them this weekend and they were yum! low in spices yet so good and quite easy. I didn't roll them in anything though, will try cracker crumbs and cornflour mixture Jalpari inshaAllah.
