So I'm the eldest son in the family, and my parents will want me to stay with them after marriage. I love them a lot, but I want to live separately in my own house after marriage. So how do I talk to my parents about this before my marriage (if that ever happens )?
marriage is half your deen....so you must fulfil this obligation too
and in islam ,dont want to stir a hornets nest , but separate living is a must...
joint family system has been adopted from the subcontinent
so you have to be gracious and not make them feel that you don't love them just make them understand you need your space..
inshallah if you can balance your responsibilities and remember them in old age it is better to live independently for both
