Re: Least favourite food
Some people mentioned they don't like bhindi.
How can you NOT LIKE THAT?
It is the only vegetable that can compete with meat.

I don't like bhindi....I don't care for its squishy texture.
As for vegetables that "compete" with meat..................Since meat is protein, I think beans/peas (chickpeas, etc) would be better competitors as they also contain protein and fill you up similar to meat.
Re: Least favourite food
I also don't like
Shaljam......never developed a liking for it, don't care for the overly sweet taste
Gobi......unless it's in the form of a stuffed paratha, I avoid it.
organ meat
Saag.........I find the taste too strong. I prefer palak.
Re: Least favourite food
You people ![]()
You just need a good bhindi maker,
As for the competition with meat. I ment bhindi is th only vegetable i would prefer over meat.
Re: Least favourite food
My mom’s a very good cook…fries the stuff up with tomatoes and onions, etc. I don’t have issues with the taste. It’s the squishy texture that puts me off. I’m like that with kheer as well…the taste is okay…but I don’t like the mushy texture, so I don’t eat it.

gobhi
Re: Least favourite food
I just wanted to say I LOVE bhindi. What the crocodile veg called?

Turray...it can be tummy if made right. You Hindus vegetarians make delicious subzi.
Based on this thread I can conclude that organ meat is a popular least favorite food among guppans.

Re: Least favourite food
I second that…I love bhindi too! ![]()
Re: Least favourite food
I dislike chai & paan…as my dear, sweet cousin in Karachi so eloquently put it upon learning. Of my dislikes “Aap itni boring kyoon hain?” ![]()
Re: Least favourite food
Oh my khattichic I wanted to like paan so much but I couldnt. No matter where it was from.
I can't eat arvi, it tries to pass off as an aaloo but tastes nothing like it. And I absolutely can't do Ojri, yuck feels like a towel that just doesn't get chewed.
I blame my patents for making me dislike the above foods, abbu made me eat ojri and watched me like a hawk. He made me gulp it down. And ammi told me that arvi in the salan was aaloo .
Re: Least favourite food
paan is nasty! also any kind of saunf dish...too strong,
i adore bhindi, gobi, kaddu, karela, tinday all odd tasting veggies..i'll eat kidneys/heart and liver if it's cooked well and tender..
i'm wierd like that!
I meant to say you know Hindu vegetarians make delicious subzi because they have to make up for lack of meat. It’s not always typing on a small screen phone:mad:

I’ll let you off because you’re such a star. ![]()
I must add hot dogs and mushy/clumpy rice to this list.

I lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvve paan. I know where they make the best ones here too.
On the other hand...I love how you referred to arvi as a fake aloo...I've always felt that way about arvi.

ohhh arvi…haven’t had that in ages, and I certainly do not miss it.I do not like it.My mother also calls it ‘just like aloo’ but to me that is equal to insulting the great potato…![]()
