I agree that our people place too much emphasis on a woman serving her man. Cooking is just one of the ways in which she has to be trained. It's great to know how to cook as Ahmadjee pointed out for both men and women. Both of my brothers are great cooks and even teach my mom new recipes. I always enjoyed trying new ideas out in the kitchen. But it wasn't until i got married that I learned traditional Pakistani meals. I don't think of it as necessarily a duty as a wife. But it's an expression of my love for him and our kids. I made my own baby food from fresh ingredients. i wanted the best for Safia. And Sara516...are you saying you're not beautiful, smart or talented?Aaah..that's not true.
