Learning Surah's Online

I wanted to know if people can post Surah’s here, with arabic and english transliteration, and accompanying meaning in english. And possibly some audio where we can learn how to pronounce it? Or is this not suitable for this forum? Thanks.

I am ashamed to admit how few Surah’s I know. uffh

Considering the amount of time some guppies spend on this site I dont think its a bad idea, and perhaps it can be an encouragement for many of us lazy muslims (I am one of them). Jazak’Allah khairum.

What do you think?

For reading purposes, try this: http://tanzeem.org/resources/quran/index.htm

and also check this: IslamiCity - The Global Muslim eCommunity

if you want urdu short ayaah by ayah tafseer in real audio, check heading under “bayaan-ul-quran (98,2001)” and “tarjumaa-e-quran 2003”:

http://tanzeem.org/broadcast/audio/index.asp

hope it will help a lil bit!

Jazak'Allah khair Anwaar. I will check out those sites.

I was hoping that full Surah's can be posted on gupshup with accompanying audio. Especially the short ones that are easy to learn. Lets see what others have to say about this, especially admins. smile

I dont read Urdu well (very very slowly, as with Arabic) so I have to refer to the english transliteration for pronounciation and stuff.

Assalam Aleekum

The first two recitors are for beginners. You can easily learn
by listening to them.i-e Khalid Husaary and Ghamdi. I don't
like Hussary's recitation but its the best for learning.

The last two are my favorite recitors. Couldn't find Shuraim
but I have that recitation on Tape. Alafasy ke tilawaat listen kareee.
Its the best I have heard so far.

You have to listen over and over again. That's the best way, for me
atleast.

If you want audio files, I can try to email it to you.
But I think the files are too big.

take care

walekum as-Salam rehman1,

Jazak’Allah khair for the site that you posted.

If you can post links of sites that are comprehensive with not only the recitation but also arabic and english transliteration with meaning of Ayah, like the site Anwaar posted: IslamiCity - The Global Muslim eCommunity that would be great. Insha’Allah.

I believe those would be most helpful in this, because I am interested in not just the recitation, since I dont really know what it means.

Assalam Aleekum
