I’ve taken some Spanish in school but never really learnt anything. Are there any reliable language buddy groups out there (especially online) that anyone has tried where I can learn Spanish one on one with someone who needs to learn English?

Wut do you mean by "someone who needs to learn english"?

I dont know which country do you live in , but usually there are lot of language meetups for that. Ofcourse its not online but its very helpful.

I meant someone who speaks Spanish but does not English well (which I can help him/her with). I was thinking of the online options. Can you elaborate on the meet-ups, though?

I suggest you go out and join the linguistic meetups cuz there are plenty everywhere in US. Goto www.meetup.com and search for it after making yr account if its not there yet.
And yes, thanks Ahmed for the link. It should be very helpful too. I just made my account in there and hopefully will learn some more spanish too.

Si tu quieres aprender la lingua de espanol efficiente, una clase es mas bien que una "meet up". me gusta Taco bell tambien :).

...Okay i may have butchered that a bit...basically, if you want to learn the language, I would recommend taking a class someplace. It should help way more than anything you could do online or in a meetup.....then again, there's always rosetta stone.
