Learning different languages

I have some questions related to my carrier. I am fond of learning languages from my childhood and still learning. I know English,Bengali,Urdu, Arabic. I want to know that is it helpful for our carrier to learn different languages. While I was learning Arabic then I thought that I am learning the language of Qur’an. Though it will help me if I go to any Arabic states to work. Actually I am confused. Please help me.

Re: Learning different languages

Any knowledge can be an asset in your career, whether that is the knowledge of different languages or something else. Depending on what field and what geographic region you work in, some languages can be more useful than others. Your skills in English and Arabic for example can help you, if you think about working in the Gulf countries. Bengali on the other hand will most likely not be a huge asset from a professional point of view.

French, Spanish and Chinese are the most widely spoken languages in the world (after English), so any knowledge you have of these can help you a lot.

Re: Learning different languages

yes certainly , learning languages can be extremely rewarding and specially when you plan to seek work internationally it can prove to be a very strong USP on your CV .. normally popular languages like French , Arabic, German etc can also benefit you in various jobs like translation , telesales , etc
Its definitely a very positive thing from the employers perspective so go for it ..
