I want to learn to read Urdu; any online books or teaching manuals that can help??

if you know any language written in arabic alphabets urdu is going to be too easy for you to learn.
Harder part would be to find some one you could speak with.
I say try to find some one who can speak, rest of the help should not be hard to find.
