Lived in saudi my entire life and still can’t speak a sentence of arabic, not even a ghissa pita made-up sentence. All I can say is Kam hada?** 
So yea, if you’re willing to teach, then why not**

^^ umm willing to teach? i am more like on the willing to learn side, unless you want to add two more words to your "vast" arabic-vocabulary

i'd love to learn arabic. i did a while back, but for some reason i dropped out, or the classes got cancelled..something or rather..
but i think it'd be so neat to understand what the imam is reading when you're standing in jammat. sometimes you can pick up if you know urdu...but other times you don't understand a word.

maybe we should come up with a group or something - all guppies that wanna learn arabic, maybe we could meet up 'online' every couple of days, or every week and maybe have a lesson or something...
i know it'll be hard for everyone to get together at the same time, but i'm just throwing out a suggestion. if anyone has a better idea, please feel free to suggest...
what do you guys think?

hmm...how can we scrimage up more people..? we could ask the mods or admin to put a sticky up?
but the more people we have the harder it's gonna be to get together at the same time ..

If there is a group then there are less excuses to procastinate and actually learn.

Nah, i think it is gona be gr8
Lets say we gather about 10-15, even though not all of us can get togather at the same time but 4-5 would be able to. Therefore the Big Group splits into 3 smaller groups.
The Course would be basically the same for all 3 groups. This way if someone is lost, he/she can post on Forum (i can setup a seperate forum and a site for resources as they come along) and some person from another group could answer the inquiry. This way technically the Big Group remains intact.

hmm..i'm off to bed, so i'll sleep on it and think of some way to get a group together..maybe we could start a thread 'Arabic Classes Starting - Register Now!' or something - although the one you started is pretty good. maybe we should give it some time and see how many people respond and go from there.
and maybe we could get some people to volunteer their time to teach us arabic. that'd be really great...

that's a good idea..the big group and small group thingy - maybe we could divide up by people living in the same time zone so it'll be easier..
i'm actually getting excited about this :)
