LCD - Which one Do You recommend ?

I am planning on to buy a LCD TV .

Currently looking at size of 40’ or 37’

Can you give me your High Tech Input in this regard?

Which Brand to prefer ?

What feature to look for - Specifically !

recently bought a 40" one, I found samsung to be the best. hdmi ports are standard, also has usb plug and play and supports every possible format, including hd videos (mkv). works great with my xbox. cost was about 75000 pkr.

since you're in saudi, you can probably get a higher spec one (series 6) or an led for the same price.

I would also recommend Samsung (based on my on findings).

^ Believe me nothing is better than Bravia.... I had been using 50" for last 3 years with my PS3 and never faced an issue with it, then again I've just recently bought the latest 40" monolithic bravia for another room coz nothing is better than SONY according to my experience, and it also fits to your budget.

Make sure you get one with tons of input connections, 3-4 HDMI, 2-3 component, VGA/DVI highly desirable.

I agree with the new Samsung TVs as well. Really good picture (samsung's on a roll with most of their device lines)

why LCD? Go for LED over two years just the energy uses will pay the difference.

I have Sony HX850 - it has gorgeous screen with built-in wifi so i don’t need any other device to use netflix, pandora, amazon video, hulu & youtube.. .etc.etc.
Its all in one, the most important features i like about this tv is:

  1. fast start up less 1 second.
  2. DLNA - easily connect to range of devices (i have five devices hooked up: cable box, jadoo, PS3, skype cam & desktop monitor with HDMI - all of them work flawlessly)
  3. skype built in - but you need to buy Sony TV camera (100 to 150$)
  4. gorilla glass - means no scratches.
    5)240 Hz - means action movies/sports will just look awesome. you will not miss anything.
  5. netflix button on the remote
  6. very low energy uses - less then 50$ a year if you watch 5 hours a day (according to the manual)
  7. software updates - every month - fix and add more features

do remember, SONY LED’s are made by Samsung. Samsung have more slimmer designs, but i don’t have much experience with it, so can’t say anything.
