Budget:
1200-1500 (with tax).
Begum thinks even that is the waste of money. Every time she sees some xyz-crappy brand TV for $500 at walmart/bestbuy she is like “what is the difference b/w this and 1500$ tv? huh? huh? huh?”. When I tell her stories about 240hz and Ethernet port, she is like “whatever…who has time? Maira $100 ka dress tu aap ko bohat mehnga lagta hai” - aaah girls will remain girls…
Intended Size:
40" or 46"
Personal Preference:
I am so hooked to Sony. Every single audio/video primary equipment I have is Sony but I am open to other brands if its really good value for the price.
Sony Bravia is good. We have a 32 inch Bravia LED upstairs and a 42 inch Samsung HD LCD downstairs. Even the Samsung is REALLY good because I play HD channels, Bluray movies and PS3 games on it. It feels so good looking at it.
I’ll give u some links. This is the page with all the Bravia 32 inch and 40 inch televisions.
If at Toronto, Canada, you can easily find a 47 inches LCD for around $900.00 only. Sharp/Olevia and etc. and they are the same as Sony/Panasonic and etc. with very minor differences other than the brand name.
Go for Samsung, for LCD TVs Samsung beats Sony easily atleast in picture quality. I recently bought Samsung 46B630. I am sure you have already done research on Contrast ratio, refresh rates and other features.
