LCD projector bulbs

I’ve had my old Sanyo PLV-30 projector for a while now and the lamp replace light has come on at 909hrs, the bulbs are supposed to last 2000hrs?! I’ve just reset it back to 0.

Is there much chance of the bulb actually blowing up in the projector?

Also any good online sites for picking up relatively inexpensive lamps, <£350?

Sony projectors have a time count on their projectors. This bulb lasts 1500 hrz.

Check ur manual on how long does sanyo bulb last. It maybe only 1000 hrz.

These bulbs are pretty Xpensive. We replaced our company projector's bulb for 3K dirhams, equivalent to 900 dollars.

It may cost more or less da same 4 sanyo.

Can you please try not to replace english words with numbers when talking about numbers? It just becomes extra confusing :-S

^^ Oops, sorry

Well the manufacturers website says 2000hrs, the bulb says 909hrs. I've reset it now anyway and will wait until it pops before I get a new one. I found a website that will do them for ~£290 (inc VAT) +pp.

Anyway I have lost no picture quality or brightness and the PJ seems to working fine, so will just wait and see I suppose.

Anyone else own one for home use, what are your experiences with actual lamp life as opposed to manufacturers recommended usage times?

Dude, these bulbs dont blow up...! U can continue using da lamp for another 1000 hours like da company recommended. I can assure u, but picture quality will deteriorate after 1800 hours or so.

290 pounds is equivalent to approximately 1800 dirhams. I think its a fair deal.

Mate, tell the wholesaler that you are a Re-seller.
Thats what i used to do.....you will get at least another 25% knocked off.
Cant remember the place name right now.... but they ARE based in the UK
Good luck.
