laziness?

i keep getting people saying oh when we were expecting we were doing this, that and the other…they say this everytime they see me sitting down , or anything that doesnt make me look active…its soo anoying. i may not suffer from obvious external symptoms, but i dont sleep most of the night, and im feeling very dizzy, faint, half the time…and i have noticed when i go for walks, i tend to cut them short as i can feel head throb/dissy feeling coming on…i also tend to get flustered now…absentmindness, think doc said it was babybrain…and i tend to forget alot of things when im out now…so i decide to stay home…i told my husband to get the treadmill out, il walk on it…but nooooo one does…saying its not good…even though midwife said as longas im walking on it, its fine.

so anyway mum and cousins keep giving me lectures on how i should be active… its annoying me. what to do?esp when they all say `oh we were pregnant too you know`````

Re: laziness?

how many weeks preg are you?? each pregnancy is different but to be honest, many people telling you all that stuff probably don't even remember most of the stuff about their pregnancies...You're normal, not getting a full night's sleep really causes tiredness and fatigue and even if you probably take naps during the day it's just not the same. Just ignore the comments i say!

Re: laziness?

nearly 6months..

i know but its annooying because i like to think im an active person, and the worst insult to me is lazy...i dnt mind someone could call me anything else in the world but i hate the world lazy......:/

Re: laziness?

I know how you feel! Its so annoying and only you understand how tired your body is! Even I cut down on my walks b/c I get tired so easily now!

I drag myself to work suffering from the worse nausea and vomitting and my co-workers still tell me to keep myself MORE active after I refuse to join them for lunch down the road, which is a good 10 mins walk up a hill!! I prefer to use the cafe downstairs! How much more active am I meant to be? Lol!

Re: laziness?

Ladies, listen to your body.... you will be pushing at the end of the road. Keep yourself healthy by food, take a small walk with ur partner. Sleep when ur body is TELLING you to sleep stop fighting it.

And yes for some women the second trimester is the honeymoon phase and it keeps on going till the end.... in my case I was completely crashed my first semester I would sleep anywhere in heavy traffic of lahore with all the noise and pollution. I was throwing up whereever and sleep was my best friend.... some of my own family members were making fun of me coz these symptoms are not there for everyone ....and guess what 2nd trimester was better but since 34th week .... I am back to my first trimester symptoms...
I asked my doctor and she said ...instead of pushing urself to 1 hour of walk.... divide it into 10 minutes.... throughout the day .... can't walk outside...walk inside....

hope that helps....stop beating urself up for what others are saying...every woman's energy level is different and it is even more different for the second pregnancy....
