Prices ... gone up by around 60 percent in last 8 years (Apart of State Bank data, Envir Beg, PPP senator, also quoted few months ago this figure in Senate). So, this is not bad figure in price hike, especially when wages gone up by over 300 percent. :) It means, average Pakistanis today is at least twice better off than what they were in 1999.

Thats our truma, People don't have sense of implementing the numbers, tell me the 300% increase in wages has increased the buying power as well or not? i guess the answer is no. buying power of Average Pakistani has weaken and is weakening every day.
For. Example, a particular city might consume 100 KG/ Day of meat every day, given the fact that the population of that city has grown, the consumption of the meat has grown to 150 KG/Day... as per ur view, the city is progressing, as a commidity is consumed more and but one cannot make out from this that there is a development and people are living better. what we need is how many people was able to afford meat 10 years ago and how many of the are able to do that know... as i said earlier it is a tough and as i suspeected that u will not be able to answer it. and u were up to the mark

Politicians with Musharraf may be corrupt, but I do not believe that much corruption was done during Musharraf rule (as Transparency international data shows).

As per CPI index for 2002-2007 we are ranked at 138, only above few African and war-torn countries. if can consider it as a achievement then, yes ur MUsh has done a good job to keep Pakistan at this position.

Law and Order situation, I think that over last 8 years, country was more peaceful than before (excluding all mayhem created by religious retards).
As for sense of security, one can see that in increase in property prices. One pay high price for a property to live only when one finds prosperity and security, else one sell properties (as use to happen in past) and leave the country.

with all due respect, People of Pakistan are forced to hire private security gurads to safe-guards their streets, the price hike is in those societies where the developer promised tight security with guards armed with AK-47, and i think people are selling their properties to buy houses in these expensive colonies cause they think that they can be safe their. and this in other words means people have no more trust on GOVT LAW Agencies.

But than, believe me, these are not important as Pakistanis do not appreciate these things. Pakistanis appreciate danda and want to see rulers doing looting and plundering and getting mega rich at their expense. That is why, all above achievement … if one call that achievement, is irrelevant when one talk about governing Pakistan.
[/quote]
yes u r rite, becuase thats the only language which refrain people of Pakistan from asking their basic rights for security and peaceful neighbourhood. Which i believe MQM like org. cannot provide nor does MUSH, so than DANDA is the only tool left for people. they should be looted by govt.supported thugs and then goons.
