Who (Sir Mohammad Iqbal) perceived the idea of Pakistan, was a Lawyer – Who (Mohammad Ali Jinah) materialized his dream was a Lawyer. Who (Abdul Hafeez Pirzada) authored the constitution 1973 of Pakistan was a Lawyer. Who (Sharif-ud-deen Pirzada) rescued constitution 1973 from abrogating and advised the later for holding in abeyance, instead by ‘father of all Pakistan ills’ (viz Gen Zia) was a lawyer. And who (Gen WWW viz Yahya) severed the country was not a Lawyer. Who (Bhutto) made Pakistan nuclear was a Lawyer.
On account of unrelenting struggle of Lawyers, general masses of Pakistan and Media extraordinary & monumental victory was achieved. By accepting the COP (Constitutional Original Petition) on behalf of the non-functional Chief Justice against the President Gen Musharraf was allowed and as a consequence thereof by setting aside the ‘reference against the non-functional Chief Justice’ by majority decision of 10 to 3 the same was held as void and without lawful authority - and yes now the non-functional Chief Justice is Chief Justice of Pakistan. It is a historical contribution of the Lawyers Community of Pakistan to the deprived people of Pakistan indeed. Let keep the struggle continue.

regardless anyone who had a part in it, whether it was only being a lead monkey of the military and uttering statements like 'idher hum udher tum' shares some responsibility, and he was also a lawyer, so my sentence is factually correct :)
To compare todays Pakistani lawyers to Jinnah and Iqbal is an insult. These lawyers have no sense of law and order. It is because of them this situation became difficult, they should have "acted" like lawyers and let this be decided in court rather behave immature and create law and order situation.
I doubt that this decision could have come without the lawyers movement and people's support. It was unprecedented unity of lawyers all over Pakistan that gave judiciary some balls.
