An astonishing week of success for Jermaine Lawson may be about to turn sour, after it was reported that the match referee, Mike Procter, had requested videotapes of his bowling action.
Lawson, 21, took a career-best 7 for 78 – the best figures in a Test in Antigua – as Australia were bowled out for 240 in their first innings on Friday. That effort followed swiftly on from his hat-trick in the closing stages of the third Test in Barbados, and he had been consistently recording bowling speeds in excess of 90mph.
But he was unable to take the field on the third day of the Test after suffering a back strain, and Procter will now be taking a closer look at his action, which like that of Brett Lee and Shoaib Akhtar, appears to involve a certain degree of hyper-extension.
WRONG ACTION! How can a bowler claim 7 aussie wickets in an innings…
there must be definitely something wrong…
or cheating involved…
these aussies r such losers…
I will tend to agree with the allegation here.To back my claim up I will tell you one incident.
One of my very close friend was in South Africa during recent worldcup and he was staying in same hotel where windies team was staying and got very friendly with Hooper. And in one of their informal conversation in bar, Hooper told him that Lawson chucks very often. Obviously Hooper wouldnot tell this in front of camera or in an interview for obvious reasons. And since this friend told me this incident moment he came back from SA ,when this allegation came it was not a surprise for me.
But for Aussies to raise it only when he got 7 wickets is bad.Why didnt they say it before? did lawson played in last 3 test matches??

First Murali, then Shoaib, and now Lawson, it seems that any bowler who kicks Aussie butt is said to have suspected action.

Even though aussies are a good team i often think of them as being whiners. many of their own players whine a lot too, and so does the management. Anyhow i dont see anything wrong with putting a bowler's action under the microscope if people feel he is chucking.
All world class bowlers should be aware that other teams are going to subject them to such scrutiny.
