Re: Lawn replicas
Hi Ladies, has anyone got any replicas stitched yet?????
Re: Lawn replicas
*I got this lawn replica made from someone in karachi and recieved it only yesterday. The kameez and the pants were good but the dupatta was of very low (fabric, colour) quality, if I had seen it personally I would never have bought it, in pictures you dont normally see it and the dupatta description that was given was chiffon, which in real even a blind could see that it was not.
Now if that had been the only issue I would have said, doesnt matter, but the dupatta had this horrible horrible smell of chemical, I am not kidding, as it was used for cleaning machine parts, such smell. I washed the dupatta with a scented fabric softner but that didnt help other than it bleed a lot and stank up my bathroom with the smell, even my hands smell of it. Its making me feel like throwing up. Before me or my kids get sick, I threw the dupatta away.
I would not be getting any replica in future, I would now pay the 2-3 k more and get the real stuff as the lawn designers have a reputation to lose where as the replica makers dont.
Lesson learned the hard way.*
Re: Lawn replicas
ooooo no Saadia, that sounds horrible. u are right thought about the duputtas being totally third class. I got a lakani replica last year, fabulous copy but the duputta was pure nylon butthe whole outfit was so cheap i couldnt really complain.
would u mind sharing where u got the replica from plz? i'm debating whether to get one of the SS replicas but cant seem to decide :(
thanks for sharing Saadia :)

Brummie, its the peacock one, you would know who. I would rather not name names here as she is being very sorry about it and wants to compensate with a real chiffon dupatta if someone from my side is coming to her town. She said, its the first such complaint.
I would say get a real SS one if you can. They are quite nice and replicas will never get near it.
I also got a lakhani replica from proto last year and the quality was superb, especially the dupatta, thats why I thought all replicas are good. Proto spoils us. :)
Re: Lawn replicas

Oh so sorry to hear about it, but all designers are not the same...That's whyI always try to be very honest and clear about everything, like fabric, quality and other things with my clients and thank god I never faced any problem with any of my clients yet, Allhamdollilah.
Re: Lawn replicas
Very sorry to hear this Sadia, in my opinion one should get replica if can pyhsically see them or some of your relative can do this for you as their quality varies. When I was in pakistan I had 2 replicas that were just fine but now I didn't order any as I was not there. Moreover I never buy replica with this thinking that it is copy of some brand but usually as a cheap and for home use. Even last year when I bought I did not know its replica only shopkeeper told me
