Dear Guppans,
Which all lawn replicas have been launched in the market? Seeing the prices of the original lawns+stitching costs+shipping costs somehow dont really seem to fit my pocket. Apart from the costs, the horror stories of bleeding colors and insufficient fabric has put me off completely. I’d appreciate if you could also indicate the prices of the lawn replicas.

The famous ss long black neck wala designs replica was selling for as low as 700 rs. Embroidered replicas sell in the range of 2000+

Has anybody purchased replicas? what is the quality like, are they exact same or close copies? I totally agree with honeybeez, these lawns are so expensive that just 2 suits stitched and parcel cost around 15000 or even more. I was recently quoted 7800 stitched for kamal lawn suit and the shipping was 25 dollars per suit with minimum of 2 suits!!!! People in Pakistan must be really rich, cause I know I'm not!!!

Replica quality varies, and you pay accordingly. Just as a LW bag is a poor replica of a LV bag, quality on the suits varies. Less expensive replicas tend to have no embroidery, and plain lawn dupattas instead of chiffon or silk. The higher priced replicas are difficult to visually distinguish from the original, but the main difference is in the fabric quality.

Ain't looking very good, in Karachi replicas are more easily available than in any city, my sis in law used to get from Mehran. She was telling the Mausummery replicas are most readily available. Even I saw here wearing replicas in summers 2or3time and that quality was good. In Lahore as per my research Gul Ahmed replicas are available abundantly. But every replica is surely not good, one has to be careful while purchasing specially online

Are there any GS vendors dealing in replicas, pls share your opinions on the ones that you have come across and also the price range.
I want to get some lawn dresses (I don't need them I am just bored with my old ones, and I don't know if spending 6000+ for an original is worth it). In the past proto did advise me to go with originals and I found the material to be nice, plus with silk pattis the LSM one looked really nice.

I want to order a Asim Jofa replica, the peacock one .. white, cream base, green pants, multi colour dupatta and one big peacock patch on the front. Please tell me if this design is tacky, I think its something different than the usual lawn prints, will eye catching in the gathering. I initially did not like the AJ designs but now am liking this. what do you think should I go ahead ? ??
