To all you lovely ladies in pak, I was just wondering what the average price of a lawn suit is? We are seeing a lot of vendors on fb putting up exhibition photos and then listing a flat rate of say $85 per suit. What I would like to know is how much are the suits being sold for ?. I realise lots of factors go into sending suits abroad but I really would like to understand the logic behind the pricing ie cost of kapra, stitching, petrol etc
Also is it possible to get a stitched lawn suit for under 3500 rs or is this a complete mathematical I’mprobability? I would love to see some pics of the non designer brands if possible.
How much would u b willing to pay for a lawn suit?
Check out Sanaullah page. They are charging RS 2650 for the Kesa lawn by Lala. For the fabric only. You can also check what they charge for stitching.
and yes you can still get lawns suits stitched for under RS 3500.
They are selling these 5 star lawn suits for RS 1125 unstitched and RS 2325 for basic stitching
These Firdous lawn suits are being sold under RS 1500 unstitched. Stitched under RS 2500
Hi brummie bird,
I've ordered lawn online from Gul Ahmed before and had it shipped to the UK- I shared the p&p costs with a friend and it came to £15-£20 a suit. I'd be interested to hear what others say asI get the feeling the price we pay is inflated compared to the retail price there.
I like the idea of a collective order to save on postage but the problem is once u add the UK durzee costs it works out pretty expensive!
I will definitely try sanaulla as there prices equate to local prices and u know exactly wot u are paying for.
Keep your ideas coming ladies,
Proto, u have just made my day LOL, his explanation for the high cost he's charging is absolute bukwaas but if people are willing to pay these prices than some of these vendors will continue to charge these prices!
Proto, in your expert opinion what is the average cost of a good quality suit?
Yeah Proto, I came on here to ask you the same thing. I know right now for most ppl living abroad thing is that we have access to all these brand name lawn designs thanks to internet marketing and exhibition photos.
But are there any other lawn/cotton suits available for the average Pakistani (in or out of pakistan) that are of a decent quality with good designs and what are the price ranges on these suits.
I saw this on FB and found the unstitched price to be reasonable as they seem to be giving a lot for the price. And I like some of the prints. Hope to see them in real iA.
guys im jus keeping my eyes on all lawns...mausummery, sana&samia, nadia hussain and today nishat launched their 2012 collection...
im finding the prints soooooo boring...its like im "fed up" with the motifs, panels, colours...its always the same...a motif here a motif there...chiffon sleeves....etc
guys wat about you ?!
jus saw sum pics of asim jofa lawn which is launching next week...its also similar to his last year...of course they will change the colour sum different embroidery but nuthin special..
is it bcuz we have too much launch and we r updated every day wid the lawn mania and its nuthing different to last years...
Twinkle, I thought it was just me feeling like this! all the stuff looks pretty similar to last years designs, all the designs are just merging into one! I really want to see yasir wahids design, I regret not getting any last year, they were reasonably priced suits with good designs. I bet ss will be selling suits for above 5000 this year!
Nadia Hussain
3500 to 4000/- ( I really liked her prints, most of the suits includes embroidery. captured some pic from xhibition. most probably be putting the pix by tomorrow)
I agree twinkle, I thought that its just me feeling like that. Last year I was gaga on lawn and this year, where I can actually see them in real, I am not feeling anything, its like oh the same boring stuff.

it depends if they are providing with extra fabric,embroidered/silk borders, chiffon dupattas with the suits or not. My argument with the owner of the group was on over 100% profit on unstitched suits :)

What about 2 piece suits ?
automne77, it again depends if you want simple printed ones or embroidered. GA and JJ had really nice quality lawns. SS has swiss voiles and hence their prices
but personally i didnt like nadia hussains lawn, even i read sumwhere her stock was sold out first day of her exhibition...
dnt think its kind of special...i liked one print...but i think i can live widout and widout having desperate dreams hehhehe :P
jus curious about all prints frm asim jofa, Sana Safinaz (but prices will be ridiciculous this year i think)

mujhe to dhuk hota hai....pehna hota nehi to uss se pehle hi mitthi pleet hojahti hai suits ki....
Lol well said twinkle, every maaja gamma, lulloo punjoo is releasing lawns at the moment but the icing on the cake for me was seeing madihas atelier on fb selling one Nadya hussain suit for $110!
That is soooooo ridiculous
Innaya couture selling the same outfits for over 10, 000RS!!! has the world gone mad?????
No cotton outfit is worth that sort of money, how can vendors get away with charging such extotortionate prices????
