Its def much darker/dull in person, but I like it, will be good for dinners and events. The sparkle neckline looks good too.

@fizza, do you think the elan quality is not the same as last years? the material from last year was so smooth, it almost felt like silk (not quite silk, but silky feel) his year i saw one from thier collection, and the feel of the material wasnt the same. what do you say?.

Pakcola, i agree with you. this suit certainly has a slightly formal look to it, add the silk dupatta to it, you are right, can be worn to dinners.

Loving your friends collection. by the way, how is the FTA suit? i fell in love with it, but unfortunately it sold out and i wasnt able to get it. hows the quality of FTA?

No I have not found any difference in quality to be honest. I have been buying élan for last few years and they are always outstanding. I was thinking I should have bought more then 3 as I have really liked them. The material is soft and light but no slip is needed. I was thinking the border trousers will look odd but I have fallen in love with them

I’m probably going to wear this one this weekend for a Pakistani fundraiser, I have a feeling I’ll get a lot of use out of this print.

Quality seems pretty good, true test is if its washable haha. But I’m still not sure if I’d get one, there was just a lot of applique, laces, pattis. If they just toned it down a bit, I would. Khaadi Vol 2 has some very pretty floral prints, more like what I wish FTA did. I already gave her suits so can’t remember if the material was thinner than the SS ones…
The SS suits with the net dupatta…feels very heavy, dupatta has potential to be very puffy. It’s not that soft net, its the cheapo kind. I got one of those suits too so oh wells…hahaha
Overall, I think SS 11A/B is one of the best prints, really versatile, not busy, no crazy embellishments. The small touch of bling, looks very nice. I might wear this one for 2nd Eid.

Pretty suits Fizza, the SS floral one looks very summery, I was thinking about that one too cuz it has a that sparkly neckline.

Thanks for the detailed review. yes, you are right, i have also received my SS11B and love it. waiting to get the Sania M and FTA, and very excited to see them in person. my friend ordered the Sana Safinaz 9b, and i must say it looks SOOO much better in person. i thought it would be too gaudy with all that tilla work, but honestly the way its designed, the combination, i love it!

So, i went to an exhibition, and saw Zara Shahjahan D12. it looks nice in pics, but in real the material is a bit stiff due to all the embroidery on the shirt.
I also saw D10, it doesnt seem worth the money. its very ordinary looking in real, and the dupatta print is much lighter and subtle. i mean the purple print doesnt stand out as it does in the pics.
Elan 4A is very subtle, the pics show a big mish mash of prints and color, somehow in real it looks very well put together.
The material for Elan 2B, however was not Elan quality, despite having a silk dupatta.
Lastly, Maria B 1508A looks very nice. the embroidery is neat and the suit looks brighter without looking over done.
My 2 cents for anyone still thinking of buying…
