Yes peach is lovely colour but I wrote before too that it's not clear even 12 b that seems very good is not clear about what it is offering

Well, I have done specialization in Advertising in my masters and has been teaching this subject to Masters, M phil and BS Hons students for last 6 years. As I know this subject and the technicalities of ad making the format chosen itself depicts the elites. Its a lifestyle plus luxury format with the appeal of glamour and fantasy in it. The ad itself speaks that brand is prohibited for the ones who cant afford. If you see even the train shows a luxurious cabin, which in real does not exist in Pakistani trains. The driver holding purse of the model and umbrella again is the indication towards the elite status. However I have felt that less emphasis is given on prints and the reason for it is that SS stands as a status symbol and brand manufacturer know this so they just focused on status element. Be the design good or bad it gives a relief to everyone wearing it in committee parties "Yeh Sana Safinaz ka hai" and else all around would give lauding looks even if print has nothing creative in it. Thats what I think and have summarized
I agree with your assesment! For that reason I wont be purchasing ss. I dont buy into this elitist idea. when I saw this ad i was offended and was actually ashamed. the smug look on her face and depiction of the poor was so crass in my opinion and i dont associate myself with that kind of thinking. i can find other ways to give my ego a boost!!!

Yes its gives impression that this lawn is for SNOBS, but everyone has own approach. Its just manufacturers that has given this impression. Many ladies out there do buy only coz they like their style and prints, so i guess its personal choice of everyone but yes Advertisement does seem supporting elitist idea to which many of our guppans are offended too but buying SS would not mean that we support that idea as everyone as own approach and i really appreciate your approach @fuzzypeach. I am also not gonna buy most probably

Yes, Monsoon/Riwaj lawn is nice for home, shopping, etc. Shrinks up a teeny bit, color doesn't run, light ironing needed.

I haven't worn misaal but I got a Nomi Ansari outfit last year, and it was lovely. The colors stay put and shrinkage didn't seem to be a problem either.. I pre-shrunk it.. so no issues after the stitching. I loved it better than most lawns that I got last year.

Has anybody ever tried Aroshi Lawn? They dont have much much good prints but I had their suits of lawn, the fabric that can purely be called as lawn, so soft, colours dont run out except some ferozis or reds, and very comfortable to wear out in hot summers of Pakistan. the only issue I have is that i dont like their designs very much but still I buy 2 suits or dupatta shirt every year from them. Even their swiss lawn is very good. And yes reasonably priced

I used to wear aroshis chicken fabric back in college, they had nice colors and wore well, haven't been to an aroshi outlet in ages now.
I'm looking forward to nomi ansari now :)
