Jamshed Dasti, Sh Waqas disqualified and handed over three year sentences. I agree that cheaters should be punished. But what about others who have committed bigger crimes, should they be allowed to run?

I feel for Jamshed Dasti. He was a politician people in his area loved and he did a lot for them. Being jailed for 3 years is a severe punishment.

I am not interested in IK’s personal life pre-politics but as far as financial integrity is concerned he’s definitely more credible than third-rate corrupt politicians like NS, BB (her death was tragic but she was also guilty of plundering and looting the national wealth) and Zardari. Even a blind person can see that

Absolutely absurd mindset of the courts with regards to fake degrees. Even though its PML-N and PPP who are being hit the hardest by fake credentials, and I am not a supporter of either, but its silly to award a prison sentence in response to a fake degree. A fine makes sense...something more than the 5,000, but a prison sentence is absurd when terrorists like Malik Ishaq are given 'protective custodies' and guys like Dasti are put in jail with common criminals.
I hope for a complete overhaul of our judicial system sometime soon.

That is the difference, we don’t consider the people we support as “saint”, you guys give much higher level to people you support regardless of how many crimes they committed.

Small thieves (fake degree holders) are disqualified and put behind bars where as big dacoits are scot free and eligible to contest elections. Well done ECP.
