Law Enforcement in Pakistan

:salam2:

Do you think the Law Enforcement in Pakistan will ever going to change? There is no respect of ‘Policeman’ in Pakistan, similar to that peoples don’t afraid nor have any fear from a Policeman which cause disrespect them as well as not to listen them or follow the law.

Re: Law Enforcement in Pakistan

Yes, it will change inshaAllah. When the law is applied to rich and poor equally without bias. When the police is given proper training, better pay with strict accountability for unethical practices (bribe, harassment, etc.), equipment to perform their duties, and counseling on behavior. It will change when its' primary duty becomes to police public places, and not lead a parade of red and blues in the front and behind a politician's Land Cruiser from his mansion to the corner store.

It will change inshaAllah, when the people themselves change and follow the rule of law and expect the enforcers to enforce it with justice.

Everyone's just frustrated all around. Public is fed up with lack of necessary essentials that used to provide minimal comfort. Police is fed up of being treated like trash from its' higher ups as well as the public with a pay that couldn't last the first week of month let alone an entire month in the inflation that is sky-high.

:insh: and we hope that it will change.
