Karisma Kapoor tied the knot with industrialist and childhood friend Sanjay Kapoor at RK Studios, the hallmark of the Kapoor tradition.
The place was decorated by Gayatri Marwah and was done up in fabrics and mirror work. The garden was converted into a sheesh mahal.
Living up to the RK tradition, there was a free flow of drinks and food. There were 126 food items including 20 vegetarian items that consisted of kebabs and cottage cheese tikkas.
The cuisines varied from Thai, Mughlai, Indian and Chinese. There were also 20 sea food dishes and the same number of lamb and meat dishes. Guests were served lime juice, coconut water, rose water and various fruit juices.
Alcohol was served only late in the afternoon after the marriage rituals were completed.
The marriage took off at 11 in the morning according to the Sikh rites. The lunch began at 2 p.m. The doli left at around 8 p.m., the couple heading for a surburban hotel. Karisma and Sanjay will leave for Europe for their honeymoon on Tuesday evening.
