Re: Laura Mercier Mineral Cheek Powder ....

my first post here although I've been lurking for quite a few months scoping pics for my wedding:)

RedRoses- Laura Mercier is simply the best, you can't fail with any of their products, especially their "base" since their product lines are all meant to deliver a flawless face. A lot of dematologists really recommend laura mercer products as they are non-comodegenic. Also, not that this should be your purchasing motive- but it is very high-end compared to other brands like MAC, bare escentuals, etc and is sold at only the best dept. stores like neiman marcus, bergdorf etc.

I went through a Bare escentuals phase last year where i was trying to go towards "natural products" and i got suckered into spening tons of $$$ on bare escentuals products from their kits, to their brushes, eye shdaws, limited edition sets, you name it!!! although it deslivers what it promished- medium coverage with mineral content- the foundations powders are like dirt packaged and marketed under a label- they are mediocre at best and have alot of same ingredients as drug store stuff and corn starch etc. the eyeshadows have good pigment but i couldn't latch onto them as i'm not great with loose powders anyways. theire brushes are crap and have rough bristles- only the eye brushed i still use. i hgave away most of my stash but have ketp some bronzers and blushes which i still use. good colors and easy to use but i wouldn't go out and buy any when they run out

go with laura mercier!!! she sells primers and stuff for the mineral powder but i think as long as your face is well exfoliated and you use a light moisturizer- that should do it
