Laura Geller's Spackle?

Anyone tried it yet?

Re: Laura Geller's Spackle?

No one's tried it yet? Its supposed to be an amazing primer meant to fill in acne marks, scars and lesions on the skin...much like the real spackle fills a wall.

Re: Laura Geller's Spackle?

I have the bronzer one which I really like. Haven't tried it under foundation but I like it under SPF.

Re: Laura Geller's Spackle?

I had no idea what it was until I saw this! it sounds like a great product. Do salon owners or MUA's have to carry things like these? I mean I guess they should right? they should be prepared to perfect any kind of skin that comes their way (i'm just curious if it's something I should have if and when I start freelancing) I heard of a similar product by Clinique called Pore Minimizer Instant Perfector, it has great reviews.

Re: Laura Geller’s Spackle?

Does it fill in any lesions or imperfections though?

I have heard of that one too!

Okay so I bought it but I don’t think I like the reviews enough to keep it for a $25 price tag. I am returning it today.

Here’s what I will be getting instead:

I THINK this will do the same thing but the price is much better so I am sold on this one.

Marwah, MUA and/or salon owners should be ready to deal with any and all types of skin. Especially with problem skin like we all seem to have at times. I think the Spackle is great BUT I also think its not something we cannot duplicate.

You need a really good primer for bridal makeup. For everyday makeup, a little is all you need so even if the quality is fair...its okay. But if you're under camera, heavy lights, hours of wear and perspiration...yeah you need a heavy duty one.

Re: Laura Geller’s Spackle?

Let me know how it works out! I might try it myself.

what would you consider a heavy duty one for bridal makeup?

Re: Laura Geller's Spackle?

Honestly...I love the gel-like consistency of the silicone based primers.

I LOVE Smashbox but am not ready for the price tag of it. $50 is steep for me at this point.

The Spackle is GONE.

What I did is walk around Ulta and tried on several different types of primers and then tested concealers over them to see what looked the best.

I tested the Spackle, Loreal, Smashbox, Bare Mineral's Prime Time, Too Faced Primer and some other random ones.

I bought Rimmel's Fix and Perfect Primer. It works like the Clinique. I dabbed some concealer over it as well to see what happened and checked back after 20 minutes. I found the concealer set but didn't settle into my pores because of the primer. This primer looks like a dark orange in tube but is colorless and dries to a finish very similar to the Smashbox.

I didn't like Spackle because it didn't give me that smooth canvas which is what primer is meant to do. My concealer also looked weird.

Spackle was $25...Rimmel was $7 and some change.

Re: Laura Geller's Spackle?

A primer that actually creates a layer between foundation and skin. A smooth layer almost like second skin.
