well you’re right, hot water is harsher on clothes and can cause shrinking and wrinkling and affect colour. Cold water is generally better for most clothes, especially delicates. But like I said I’m paranoid so I’m still not convinced bacteria dies as effectively with cold water so for bedsheets and towels I still use the hot wash.
