Latest twist in Govt vs Judiciary

Well things were not all well before too but seems like its been a roller coaster ride since last night. Judges meeting in dark night (till 1am), asking written clarification from PM and all this on the basis of news from couple of channels from un-known sources.

Well CJ has said, that he knows news is not wrong and he know the sources. Its about time he stop playing the 10-min-popularity game and NAME THE SOURCES. He should now finish the job. If PM is giving surety that this was never under consideration, SC should punish GEO and other channel for airing false news just for popularity.

Its about time that Judges too stop bayan-baazi and should speak through their decisions. You can not let one party speak and expect from other not to strike back. When politicians say something tu CJ and Ramday sahab rona shuru ker daitey hain k Judges ko galiaan dee ja rahi hain. Whats the conduct of juedges? Every day media ko bayan bazzzi.

Re: Latest twist in Govt vs Judiciary

So what exactly seems to be the problem here? Are you unhappy about judges holding meetings at 1am?

Re: Latest twist in Govt vs Judiciary

Problem is that after all this halla gulla, it has gone no where. Now because it was "az khud notice", either judiciary (or GEO) should prove that Govt was going ahead with the revocation of notice OR GEO should be punished for breeaking wrong news and chaos.

Ali Ahmed Kurd has put it right in one sentence

"This is not the fight b/w Judiciary and Govt, its the ego of Justice Iftekhar and President Zardari"

Problem is that judges (specially CJ and Ramdey) news media k leyee too many bayaanaat dai rahey hian. just like Dultan Rahi but does not have courage to receive back a favor. When someone criticize to phir aag lagh jatyee hai

Problem is k now judiciary is deciding kaun see train chaley ge, kaun see nahi chaley ge, cheeni ki prioce kis ho gee etc etc

Problem is k no one remembers that there are cases against Shareef lying somewhere which are if not more than as credible as cases against Zardari

Problem is that CJ Iftekhar sahab as totally "forgot" about the missing person cases which he was champion of in not-so-far-past

list goes on ...

After Civilian Dictatorship and Military Dictatorship, Pakistan proudly presents Judicial Dictatorship

Ladies and Gentleman, meet our new dictator - Ch Iftekhar!!!!

Re: Latest twist in Govt vs Judiciary

Why should Geo be punished? This isnt a dictatorship anymore. If they report inaccurate stuff, their authenticity and rep goes down.

Re: Latest twist in Govt vs Judiciary

Yeah and SC should rule that GEO report was false. will SC go to that extent? NO

Re: Latest twist in Govt vs Judiciary

no role of british Rebwa ka Pujari in it??

Re: Latest twist in Govt vs Judiciary

Just as I said, CJ Iffti over reacted on unconfirmed news to feed his ego.

Even hard-core basher like Kamran Khan and Hamid Mir were unable to stop people from saying that and I am not talking about PPP people, I am talking about people like Ali Ahmed Kurd, Ather Minnullah etc

Specially look at Hamir Mir bechara is trying SO much to fuel the fire …hath hila hila ker like papa-kutni

Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif said that any conspiracy against the judiciary would be a direct attack on the Constitution of Pakistan and democracy. He said that free and independent judiciary was the foundation of democratic system.

He said that attack on judiciary would be thwarted and conspirators would be dealt with iron hands. Pakistani nation gave sacrifices for the independence of judiciary and they will protect it. Talking to MPAs belonging to different districts in the CM House, he urged them to have close contacts with the people and solve their problems. He urged them to complete development project in transparent manner. Earlier, Habib Bank president Zakir Mehmood also met with the CM and briefed him on distribution of Watan Cards.

With regard to that link? What is wrong with it? A Free and independent judiciary is paramount to any democracy. Ask the US and the UK.
