Yes yes i’ve seen the mehendi dresses thread already. That thread doesn’t have latest mehendi dresses.
Please post pics of brides or models or any dresses that maybe suitable for mehendi - Maxi, Choori-daar, gown, front open, angrakha, anything would do .. I am most inclined to angrakha with panels and going right down to above me ankles or something.

I would make this into an Anarkali with a peachy chooridaar, I prefer anarkalis, they’re not veryyyy elaborate nor too simple plus they look so fab when u dance :smiley:

^Thats one heck of A dress!! plus u can recycle it as a formal outfit later on with a matching choodidar!! love the ‘qawalan’ head-gear on the model(though that would look so unbecoming on a bride) thats a cool idea to try out as a prop in a mehndi/sangeet dance :smiley:

one of my faves too!! been looking and looking and looking for some more pics of the designs from this collection but so far no luck :frowning: here is one which comes close to the above outfit

Another sabyasachi creation which has struck roots in my heart is this one which rani mukherjee wore for the film babul’s audio release. Sabyasachi calls it a ‘kalidar kurta’ not an anarakali :slight_smile: reminds of Shakespeare’s ‘A rose by any other name would smell jst as sweet’(not an exact paraphrase but u get it,rite?)




Another sabyasachi I could manage to get a pics of, comes a bit close to the above one, I actually prefer this one’s dupatta :wub:

Another idea would be to wear a anarkali-pishwas style flowy top over a sharara, its in vogue these days. Something like this.


I prefer the saffron of the dupatta to the turmeric of the actual outfit.

another one in the same colour scheme, albeit witha sharara+anarakali combo.
