Accidentally I came across to this site and I really love this site. I have been reading Bazaar talk and Weeding thread off and on. Great work. Can anyone please tell me what is the latest fashion in Pakistan. I wish I found out about this website earlier then I would have gone to Pakistan for shopping. I went to India for shopping with high hope that I would buy really exclusive and fashionable formal wear. I did lot of research and went to many designers and non designers shops but could not find stunning outfit. I was so shocked that in Mumbai , I did not find anything decent. I ended up buying three outfits from Benzar which are nice but could have been nicer. Those two outfits are A line anarkali style. They are past my knee but not the long ones. I wish they had the maxi type. For me they were expensive and can any one tell me are they in fashion and what is the trend over there. Every where I went, all they had very frock type anarkali. Very disappointing. I will never get that opportunity ever in my life again to go another country for exclusively shopping. I went Manish Malhtora’s shop and he had nothing in his store current the time I visited his store. I love his design. Actually, I thought all these designers shop would have something like from their run way/ website but I was wrong. The stuff I saw in from Seasons India to Manish Malhtora are not what I though it would be. Actually, I bought many outfits from a store in NY which were way nicer. Lack of style ( I know it is personal) and low inventory made me think later may be I went wrong time of the year. I can go on and on about the trip however, please let me know what are the latest fashion in Pakistan and if possible please post some pictures. I am to Pakistani and sometimes I read some terms on this site which I do not understand at all. So, pictures will help. By the way Pakistani outs are really beautiful. Thanks

Thank you so much guys. you are all so sweet. Does the length of long shirt touches ankle or little bit above the ankle? Also, what is 4 chaak ? Someone mentioned about not seeing the chaak. I have no idea if they are talking about the hemline or if is a style? When went to India, I picked up a yellow salwar kameez because I read that last year yellow was big on the runway. I am glad at least I got the color right even though I did not get style I wanted:) Is there another website like GUPSHUP out there if so please mention the names. Thanks a lot.
^ Yeah thats what I've heard, my khala told me that long and straight kameez with trousers seem to be the new upcoming trend but thats for casual clothes anyway.
not really ... formals as well .. but you know what .. i am getting married in nov and first of all i am getting majority unstitched unless there is pretty well need to .. secondly i am keeping a variety - like heavy heavy formals are long long maxis and some for shirts etc etc. From lahore n boy oh boy they are so conscious of what the bride wears!!!
Oh, I didn't have much idea about the formals. Yeah I agree, the best thing is to have variety.
I don't think its a really bad idea to have few clothes in classic shalwar kameez form, its such an evergreen and safe look. You can never go wrong with it.
I think trends really really matter if you're in Pakistan, especially in Lahore :D. Are you planning to stay in Pakistan after wedding or move abroad?
I was about to place and order but I am glad I found out the latest trend before I placed the order. I am not so much for trend but like to know what is in fashion so that I can incorporate things my own way and still feel current, stylish and comfortable. I always like to wear simple , timeless and at the same time elegant clothes . I ended up buying two A line AnarKali from Benzar last year and they were pretty expensive for me . Like I mentioned earlier that time I did not have any other options. Every where I went in Mumbai all I saw AnarKali. I tried so hard just to get some elegant formal salwar kameez but did not have any luck. Now, honestly tell me should I wear them this year for weddings or they are out. I saw some designer still have them in their collections. Mine do not touch ankle length by close to it. I have to go toweeding this year so tring to find out and plan accordingly. Thanks a lot.
